A rancher’s son now campaigning as an impartial for Nevada governor is suing present and former U.S. authorities officers, alleging that malicious prosecution led to the dismissed prison case stemming from a 2014 armed standoff with federal land brokers.
Ryan Bundy and his father, Cliven Bundy, stated Wednesday in entrance of the U.S. courthouse in Las Vegas that prosecutors tried to wrongfully convict them for peacefully stopping a roundup of Bundy cattle from federal land close to the household ranch in Bunkerville, Nevada.
A Justice Division spokesman declined to touch upon the lawsuit filed in U.S. District Courtroom in Washington, D.C.
It names U.S. Lawyer Normal Jeff Periods, his predecessors Loretta Lynch and Eric Holder, former Bureau of Land Administration chief Neil Kornze and former FBI Director James Comey as defendants.
