BRUSSELS (Reuters) – European Council President Charles Michel stated on Thursday he had spoken to Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani and urged Tehran to adjust to the 2015 arms management settlement that stops it creating nuclear weapons.
Iran stated on Sunday that it was stepping again from its commitments below the deal, often known as the JCPOA.
“Simply spoke with @HassanRouhani about current developments. JCPOA stays essential for world safety. I referred to as Iran to not pose irreversible acts,” Michel, who coordinates EU authorities positions in Brussels, stated in a tweet.
